Acid-Base Titration: Quantitative Chemistry Practical

Safety

Safety

⚠️ Dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solutions are both irritants to skin and eyes — wear safety goggles throughout. Use a pipette filler (never mouth-pipette). Handle the glass burette carefully and read the meniscus without removing it from its clamp. Rinse any acid/alkali spills immediately with plenty of water; if either contacts the eye, rinse at the eyewash for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice. Dispose of titration waste in the dilute-acid/base waste container.
